VEHARI: At least 50 people were arrested all across Punjab in search operations
conducted by security agencies early Sunday.
The operat
ions were
conducted in Vehari, Mailsi and Burewala and Pindi Bhattian and took custody of 45 people who could
not prove their identities and 12 Afghan nationals were also arrested and weapons were also recovered from them.
More than a 1000 policemen participated
in the operatio
ns that took place at numerous bus stations, hotels and guesthouses and people were asked to prove their identities.
